What is Spout Pouch?
By combining a flexible bag with a secure, resealable cap, these spout pouches give your customers a mess-free way to pour and store liquids. You may have seen this kind of packaging used for things like kids’ juice, organic puree, or eco-friendly detergent refills. Compared to bulky bottles, these pouches are a fraction of the weight, making them much cheaper to ship and store.
It works for liquids and semi-liquids that need to be poured or squeezed, like shampoo, yogurt, juice, sauce, and other things like that.
Switching from rigid bottles or jars to these spout pouches saves you significant space and cuts down on shipping costs because they are much lighter.

Custom Spout Pouch Options
Every product is different, so we don’t do “one size fits all.” We customize each spout pouch based on your unique filling methods and design goals.

We don’t limit you to standard sizes. We can scale the capacity of your spout pouches up or down to ensure they work perfectly for your filling equipment.

A spout pouch can be produced in different material structures based on barrier needs and product type.

The spout pouch spout can be customized in size, shape, and position for easier filling and pouring.

Each spout pouch can be matched with different cap styles and colors to give it a better function and shelf appeal.

A custom printed spout pouch helps show your logo, brand colors, and product design more clearly.

Your spout pouch can be finished with different surface glosses or a windowed design.
Less Space, More Efficient Storage
Spout pouches take up less space than rigid bottles and containers before and after filling. Their flexible structure helps reduce warehouse pressure, improve carton loading efficiency, and make transportation more cost-effective for liquid and refill packaging projects.

Clean Pouring Experience
A well-matched spout and cap design helps users pour liquid products more smoothly and control the flow more easily. This is especially useful for sauces, baby food, detergent, shampoo, liquid soap, and other products where a cleaner user experience matters.
Common Material Structures for Spout Pouches
Different spout pouch materials are designed for different protection needs, such as sealing strength, oxygen barrier, moisture resistance, puncture resistance, and product shelf life.

PET / PE is a common laminated material structure for standard spout pouch packaging. The PET outer layer supports clear printing and good pouch appearance, while the PE inner layer provides heat sealing performance and direct product contact protection.

PET / AL / PE uses an aluminum foil barrier layer to improve protection against oxygen, moisture, light, and aroma loss. This structure is suitable when stronger shelf life protection and high barrier performance are required.

NY / PE adds nylon strength to improve puncture resistance, flexibility, and pouch durability. It is often selected when the pouch needs stronger mechanical performance during filling, handling, transportation, or daily use.

PET / NY / PE combines printability, toughness, and sealing performance in one laminated structure. It is commonly used when the pouch needs better strength, larger capacity support, and more stable sealing performance.
Spout pouch packaging is suitable for liquid and semi-liquid products such as juice, baby food puree, yogurt, sauce, ketchup, edible oil, shampoo, body wash, liquid soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, and refill products. The final pouch structure should be selected based on filling method, product formula, shelf life, and sealing requirements.
The material depends on your product type, barrier requirement, filling temperature, and transportation condition. PET/PE is often used for standard liquid packaging, PET/AL/PE is suitable for high-barrier needs, NY/PE improves puncture resistance, and PET/NY/PE is often used for larger-volume or stronger refill pouches.
Some spout pouches can be designed for hot filling or mild heat treatment, but the material structure, sealing layer, spout welding, and filling temperature must be confirmed before production. Please share your filling temperature and product type so we can recommend a suitable structure.
Spout pouches can be filled through the spout, through an open pouch top before sealing, or by semi-automatic and fully automatic filling and capping lines. The suitable filling method depends on product viscosity, filling temperature, pouch size, spout position, cap type, and production volume. For liquid food, sauces, detergent, shampoo, oil, and refill products, we recommend confirming the filling process before pouch production.
Spout pouches can be customized with different spout diameters, corner spouts, top spouts, center spouts, screw caps, flip caps, anti-choke caps, and colored caps. The best option depends on pouch capacity, product viscosity, filling equipment, and user experience.
